“We are not sure about the news that Leah Sharibu had a baby for a Boko Haram Commander. We did not even hear that she was pregnant. They even said that she was forced and she denounced Christianity. They could be correct but we need to confirm that”, a source said on Monday.

Father of Miss Sharibu, Nathan Sharibu told the BBC on Monday that he just wanted her back, whether she had a baby or not.

“I have nothing to say, I leave everything to God. I only need my daughter, whether she is with baby or she is alone. I need my daughter only, that is what I want,” Nathan Sharibu told BBC Pidgin

There have been global demonstrations, demanding the release of Sharibu  who was 15 years old by February 19, 2018, when she was abducted together with other 109 school girls at the Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State.

Nigerian government has promised her rescue but that has not happened.

When other abductees were freed barely a month after their capture, Leah Sharibu was held back by the terrorists for refusing to renounce her Christian faith.
