Nigerian arrested over cocaine trafficking in Morocco
A Nigerian national was on Monday arrested by Police services at the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca for hiding 1.85 kg of cocaine in his stomach, said the national police (DGSN).
The accused, heading to Sao-Paulo was arrested following a routine operation after the scanner detected suspicious pills hidden in his stomach.
The Nigerian citizen, whose name was not given immediately, was transferred to Ibn Rochd Hospital in Casablanca, where capsules were removed from his body.
The suspect was remanded in custody under medical supervision until he recovers and could be questioned on the illegal substance, says ADV
