Nigerian Court orders re-arrest of Kanu, Biafra Separatist leader

Barely three years after he was granted bail on April 25, 2017, a Nigerian Court in Abuja has revoked the bail granted to Biafra Separatist leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The court said it has given the order because Mr Kanu had failed to appear in court after his bail was granted in April 2017.

The Judge of the Division of the Federal High Court, Binta Nyako who also granted the bail earlier said that leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu voided his bail condition and gave the order on Thursday and directed that a bench warrant should be issued for  Kanu.

She ruled that the trial must continue and directed that a fresh date for the continuation should be given by parties so that the matter will continue in Mr Kanu’s absence.

The case was adjourned till June 18.

Kanu and three others are facing trial on allegations of treason among others. Nyako, in 2017 gave an order to allow Mr. Kanu attend to his ailing health condition.

According to the order, Kanu was to produce three sureties with N100 million each among other conditions which included that Kanu must be seen in a group of persons.

Kanu has been in the eye of the storm following his controversial stance

IPOB Leader, Kanu, insists ‘Jubril’ from Sudan is acting Buhari

Despite the clarification by Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, that he is ‘real’ and not an imposter, some people still hold on to their belief that Buhari would have been dead as put forward by his detractors.

‘It’s the real me!’ Nigerian president denies impostor charge… but isn’t that what a clone would do?

Fielding questions from Nigerians in Poland on Sunday, Buhari denied that he is a clone. But analysts say you could expect nothing less from a clone than denying that he is a clone.

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has also told the Federal Government that he never said President Muhammadu Buhari was cloned.

He said his message to the world has always been that President Buhari was ‘dead’ and was replaced by another individual, Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani, as a double.

Kanu made the clarification during the weekend in a two-and-half hour worldwide radio broadcast from Israel.

It has been in the news that Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari, is a clone. That the original Buhari had died in a hospital in Saudi Arabia in 2017. Then the ruling family contrived and made a clone of him with one Mr. Jubril from Sudan. Reason is just to remain in power.

At first, it appeared like a bare ruse. But the allegation refused to subside. From what seemed like baseless invectives, it grew to a big issue because some people seem to be believing the clone theory.

Buhari tweeted on Sunday in Krakow, assuring Nigerians he is real. ‘It’s real me, I assure you. I will soon celebrate my 76th birthday and I will still go strong.’’ He was in Krakow, Poland, at an interactive session with the Nigerian community in the country.

But Kanu said: “We are going to dismantle the lies of Lai Mohammed and his brother (Senator Ajayi Borroffice), who claims he holds a doctorate degree in genetics and said nobody can clone a 75-yr-old.

“Lai Mohammed re-echoed that sentiment. If you’re not intelligent enough, you will think that Nnamdi Kanu said Buhari was cloned into Jubril (a Sudanese).

“That was not what I said. I said Jubril is an impostor. They (the cabal) brought him in to act and behave like the ‘dead’ Buhari. I never said he was cloned.

“The introduction of cloning into the narrative was a ploy to confuse the people.

“I am very grateful that the Sudanese government are doing something about this by investigating the matter.

“It must be mentioned that the mastermind of the fraud of Jibril is Abba Kyari. Has anyone seen him recently?”

The IPOB leader accused the presidency of shielding the President from getting into close proximity with the troops during his recent visit to Maiduguri so as not to blow his cover as a ‘fake’.

Kanu further took a swipe at Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, over a purported reluctance, on his part, to tell Nigerians the ‘truth’ about his principal.

“Osinbajo is a coward that is why he is not President. Dora Akunyili sacrificed her life that Jonathan may become president. Without what she did, nobody had the mettle to speak the truth.

“Akunyili came and told everybody the truth that Yar’Adua was dead. What they (the cabal) are doing now was perfected then,” he added.
