Another Nigerian public officer holder, Rotimi Amaechi, has been attacked on Friday by Nigerians living abroad.

Few months ago, Nigerian senator, Ike Ekweremmadu, was attacked by Nigerians living in Germany.

Both Amaechi and Ekweremmadu are from the Southern Nigeria. People from Nigeria’s South claim to be marginalized by the North who are in power. They blame their leaders for doing nothing or little to change the situation of the Southern people.

Amaechi who is Nigeria’s transportation minister Rotimi Amaechi said he was attacked while on a national assignment.

“Some minutes ago, I was attacked by a few misguided Nigerians while on national assignment at a climate change event in Madrid, Spain,” Amaechi tweeted on Friday.

“They were quickly repelled by the Spanish police before they could do any harm.”

The Nigerian minister said he escaped the scene of the attack and left unhurt.
