Buhari donates vehicles, $500,000 for Guinea Bissau election
Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari has approved three hundred and fifty (350) units of electoral kits, ten (10) motorcycles, five (5) Hilux vans, two (2) light trucks plus Five hundred thousand US Dollars ($500,000) to help Guinea Bissau with their elections.
Islam is the most popular religion in Guinea-Bissau with Muslims accounting for 45% of the total population of the country. About 22% of the country’s population are Christians.
Buhari said the gesture is to help the West African country stabilise its democracy. President Buhari directed Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama to help am with the urgent mission in response to their government’s request for help.
