Poetic License: Song for Pheromones, By Kelechi Okoronkwo
Pheromones.
Unknown tissues of hate and love
Unprovoked, we hate and we love
Love or hate a people over the other
By thou unknown and unfair chemistry.
Unprovoked. We get provoked
And we love and we like unequal
We hate and we loath unequal
But we can’t say any why
We reel helplessly, under this burden
of hate and love but we can’t say any why
Pheromones.
Wired with self-corruption
Always dictating
Never convincing
Always abiding
Never appearing
So we never knew you
We never provoked you
But you cause us spew hates and love unnecessary
We do not do you but you do us everyday
Myths in goodness and gentility we learned. And like cloths we wear them everyday. But…likeness never attracted
Unlike poles always attracted
Now I see this old science of magnetism
Now I see why they spew us hate and dislike over our clothing of goodness and gentility.
Now I see…I see why we don’t know why
Nor why we should bother over things unknown and unfair
We hate and love unnecessary
Pheromones. Art thou fair?
Thou unknown righteous devil in all of us
