Rest in Power, Tsvangirai: How Zimbabweans, others mourn opposition hero

There has been outpouring of emotions on the social media following the departure of a dogged opposition leader, Morgan Richard Tsvangirai who died on Wednesday at the age of 65.

The opposition platform, Movement for Democratic Change, MDC Zimbabwe‏ @mdczimbabwe , tweeted: “Indeed, President Morgan Tsvangirai has left his footprints on the sands of history”

The United States Secretary of States, Boris Johnson‏Verified account @BorisJohnson  wrote: “Morgan Tsvangirai represented courage and determination in the face of oppression, and gave ordinary Zimbabweans faith to believe in the future. He was one of the bravest political leaders of his time and will be sadly missed”

Popular lawyer,  Fadzayi Mahere‏ @advocatemahere tweeted: “Rest in power, @mrtsvangirai. Thank you for forging the path and blazing the trail in the struggle for democracy. Forever in our hearts! The Yellow Campaign salutes this hero of Zimbabwe”.
