PDP condoles Christians, Muslims over deaths of Rev. Asake, Sheik Rabiu

Main opposition party in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has mourned the death of the General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Musa Asake.

In like manner, the party extolled the virtues of late Islamic Scholar, businessman and philanthropist, Sheik Isyaku Rabiu as a devout Muslim and a man of peace whose humility, in spite of towering attainments in all spheres of life, remains exemplary.

In a statement on Sunday by its publicity secretary, the party notes that the death of Rev. Asake, who was known for his devotion to peace and defence of the downtrodden, is a big blow, not only to the Christian community but also the entire nation and humanity in general.

The PDP extols Rev. Asake for his exemplary lifestyle, teachings and piety, especially in the pursuit of peace and unity of our dear nation.

The PDP condoles with the Christian community, officials of the Christian Association of Nigerian, the Government and people of Kaduna state as well as the Asake family for the loss.

The party prayed God to comfort the family and his flock and give them the grace to bear this huge loss.

The PDP said Sheik Rabiu’s death is a huge loss, not only to his family, associates and the Muslim community, but also to the entire nation and humanity at large.

The PDP notes that Sheik Rabiu will be remembered for his words of wisdom, unparalleled generosity and excellent sense of administration for which he recorded many successes in life.

The party condoles with the Muslim community, the government and people of Kano state and the Sheik’s family over the loss.

The PDP prays God to grant him eternal rest and give his family and associates the fortitude the bear the irreparable loss.
