President Buhari’s son, Yusuf, back home after head injury

Yusuf Buhari, son of the Nigeria’s President, has been received back home in Nigeria after treatment of his head injury overseas following a bike accident last December.

Buhari’s wife, Aisha, confirming Yusuf’s return on her Twitter handle wrote: ‘We thank God for the return of our son Yusuf today after his medical trip. On land at the airport he was received by the Minister of Health (State) Dr. Osagie, while at the Villa he was welcomed by family members, Wife of the Vice President, the Interior minister.’

Yusuf, was involved in a bike accident around Gwarimpa area, a sub-Abuja metropolis.

Announcing the accident last December, Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in a statement said:

“Yusuf Buhari had a bike accident last night around Gwarimpa in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He broke a limb and had an injury to the head as a result. He has undergone surgery at a clinic in Abuja. He is in a stable condition. The President and his wife, Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, are thankful to Nigerians for the good wishes and prayers for their son.

May God reward you all”.

This has put paid to multiple speculation on the social media about the whereabouts of the President’s son and the state of his health.
